Moxie Squared aims to transform the quality and efficiency of law firms’ marketing and business development (BD) programs and the teams who execute them.
We believe marketing and BD professionals should have the tools they need to perform at the highest level; without hindrance from lack of resources or support staff. We also believe lawyers, accountants, bankers and other professionals should be able to engage in the business development process in a meaningful way without compromising valuable time that can directed towards more profitable endeavors.
Our mission is to design tools that empower these teams of one or many to focus more on adding strategic value and less on administrative time sucks. We are committed to enabling lawyers and business development professionals to work more efficiently and collaboratively, resulting in significant cost and time savings and — ultimately — a more profitable firm.
Moxie Squared is the passion project of Ellen Page, a marketing and business development expert with over 15 years of experience in professional services (including legal, accounting, and banking). She obtained her MBA from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business and her BA in Journalism (with a Minor in Business) from Indiana University.
Having served as the first Marketing Director for several firms over the course of her career, she has been tasked with laying the foundation for a new marketing platform on more than one occasion, often working with limited resources and support staff.
Being a solo marketer at a law firm comes with extraordinary demands, so Ellen has always sought out better, faster, and smarter ways to do more with less. For years she lamented with her counterparts from other firms who suffered from similar frustrations and limitations. In 2016, she decided to stop wishing for the affordable dream product that would solve all these challenges and to start creating that solution herself. Her mission is to create a uniquely collaborative and open user base culture where marketing and BD professionals at law firms can share best practices, implementation ideas, and feature requests. It is her hope that, in addition to providing lawyers with a revolutionary way to manage their BD activities and related data, ClutchWork™will liberate her peers from administrative minutia so they can better focus on the higher value, strategic work they were hired to do.
Ellen was first exposed to BASIC computer coding as a kindergartener. She fell in love with coding when she programmed the family Atari to do light shows. In college, she developed an obsession with building Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, and websites using HTML. She is thrilled to have the chance to marry her love of technology with her passion for professional services marketing and operational efficiency.
